Exhibition- and graphic design for "The Graz Vigil" exhibition on Karmeliterplatz in the center of Graz. It gave the public the opportunity to gain insight into the personal observations that have connected people throughout the project. The exhibition pavilion is constructated from the original pavilion and rearanged as a place to meet, connect and to share experiences.
"The Graz Vigil" was a creation of WLDN / Joanne Leighton, based on the design of Tovo+Jamil, and invited 732 residents from January 1 to December 31 2020 to watch over the city for one hour, each at sunrise and sunset. The hour in the temporary space installation above the roofs of Graz gave the residents the opportunity to discover their city from a new and different perspective. And to step out of everyday life for an hour in order to engage in a new experience of their own surroundings.
Their subsequent recordings form a collective diary of the city and bear witness to a very special year.
