Editorial Design for the La Strada Project "The Graz Vigil".
The Graz Vigil was a creation of WLDN / Joanne Leighton, based on a design by Tovo+Jamil. It invited 732 residents from January 1 to December 31, 2020, to observe the city for one hour each at sunrise and sunset.
This hour, spent in a temporary space installation above the rooftops of Graz, offered residents a chance to view their city from a new and different perspective. It encouraged them to step out of daily routines and engage in a unique experience of their surroundings.
Their subsequent recordings form a collective diary of the city, bearing witness to a very special year.
