Visual Identiy, Illustration and Animation for Rad Lesel. A library on wheels. Books, magazines and audio books are brought to their readers on wheels. To all those who like to read but ... Don't have a library nearby? Are not walking well? Are worried about getting sick? Or don't want to leave their house when it's cold and dark?
An initiative by volunteer librarian Mag. Claudia Kompacher. She sees it as her educational mission to make books and literature accessible to people who, for various reasons, have limited access to them.
Rad Lesels regular stop is the St. Christoph Family House, which is run by Caritas and is located in the pastoral area of Graz-Southeast in the parish of Thondorf.
The family house accommodates and looks after underage parents with their babies and toddlers. The parents are mostly from a socially difficult background, most of whom associate books with negative school experiences or grew up in social circumstances in which books and reading aloud were not valued.
The aim is to inspire the young mothers to borrow, read and browse through books with their children and to spark the enjoyement of reading.
